Main task: filming in a primary school setting for documentary cutaways

 Today I got some footage of the inside of Lower School at the college, this is because my documentary has gravitated to the affects that watching pornography has on those in a school environment; particularly those at the age kids, on average are found to be watching pornography for the first time.

I have decided to focus on these areas of the affects of porn as I believe that it is a clear way for me to illustrate how impressionable minds are being shaped in many ways by pornography and the sex industry, which can be accessed by children around the ages of ten; furthermore, how these elements of society have an impact on mental health, body image, rape culture and the ways in which we interact with each other on a daily basis. 

Here are a few behind the scenes shots of me getting the footage in Lower School, I used a simple tripod and Nikon camera. I, myself have a cannon camera that I prefer to use for filming, however as I aim to do the rest of my interviews with a two camera set I think that it is a good idea that I used the Nikon so the combination of footage from each camera is less noticeable. However, I will not be using this same tripod again in the future as it did not work well with pan motion or tilt, which was very frustrating. All and all, I exercised my ability to think on my feet and find opportunities gather footage that might make my piece more creative.
