Talking taboos podcast: 5 boys and porn

 

Here is the a podcast of five boys, the voices have been altered on request of a few of the participants. This was a very interesting experience, as I have never really recorded a focus group podcast. Additionally I found it really interesting that the group wanted to record the session with the lights off for comfort. I am glad that I did this and will defiantly use some of the information in my main task as it was very eye opening and interesting; however, I did plan to record another podcast with a group of five girls and the same questions to see how the two interviews/ focus groups compare, after this session I don’t think that I will need to as the direction of my documentary is becoming more clear and would like to narrow my research so to not waste time. I did really enjoy this exercise and will defiantly be more confident going into similar interviewing situations.
